The kick-off event for the Louisville chapter of the Association of Muslim Athletes was a 3 day kickball tournament. The event was held in June on 3 consecutive Sundays. The children had a great time fellowshipping, learning sportsmanship and partaking in physical fitness. The ages of the children were 5 - 12 years old. Local community member Jemilla Barakaat organized the event along with the Nur Islamic school's PTA. Special thanks to Tasha Mahomadou with the NISL PTA for helping to plan the event. The event was held on the lawn of the Nur Islamic school. We are happy to have had a great event that gave the Muslim children of Louisville something fun to do over the summer.
